Five thoughtfully restored guest rooms maintain their historic charm while providing modern conveniences to our Antietam lodging. Each room is unique in design and preserve historical style. Amenities include guest controlled thermostats for heat and AC, mini-fridges, comfortable beds fitted with luxury microfiber sheets from Comphy, private baths with distinctive bath products, hair dryers, and plush robes for you to snuggle in. In addition, guest rooms feature flat screen TV with cable and DVD player, high speed Wifi, a collection of Civil War and local interest books, and a selection of DVD’s on local history as well as current movies for your entertainment. Rates are based on double occupancy per night. Current rates are reflected below. Standard Rates for Two-night stay: $230 – $265 +tax. Single night stay: $240 – $275 +tax. Multiple night* stay: $210 – $245/night +tax.

General’s Quarters

The General’s Quarters provides the ultimate setting for privacy and romance. Located behind the Inn, it’s completely separate from the main building, yet only steps away. Superbly crafted and built in early 1800’s tradition with thick masonry walls, a stone foundation, and high ceilings. Features include a handcrafted pencil post bed and large bathroom with a tiled tub/shower combination.

The sitting area of the General’s Quarters highlights the 1830’s cooking fireplace, reflecting the building’s origins as a summer kitchen on the property. French doors lead to a private porch that overlook the gardens, the perfect place to unwind. The General’s Quarters commemorates the general officers serving both North and South that fought during the Battle of Antietam.

Antietam Room

This room is located on the second floor at the back of the Inn, in the portion of the house dating to the 1850’s. This spacious room has a private entrance and large private porch overlooking the grounds and is only accessible from an outside set of steps. A king sized pewter metal bed is highlighted by two large windows, allowing for plenty of natural light.

The en-suite bath features a large tiled shower. The sitting area is a favorite for reading or playing board games. This room can be combined with the Clara Barton Suite to accommodate a larger group. The Antietam Room honors the memory of all the soldiers who bravely fought on this bloodiest day which forever changed the course of American History.

Thomas Jackson Room

This room is located on the main level at the front of the Inn, in the portion of the house dating to around 1804. This stately room was once a formal parlor, evidenced by a columned, brick fireplace. An impressive king sized sleigh bed is complemented by a couple of comfortable wing-back chairs perfect for reading or just relaxing. The raised 3-step en-suite bath features a large tiled shower.

This room includes two entries. There’s an inside entrance for convenience to the inn, plus a private outside entrance which leads to an intimate, secluded sitting area. The Jackson Room is named for the brilliant and eccentric General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, who having captured Harpers Ferry, enabled Lee to make a stand at Sharpsburg.

Clara Barton Suite

This suite is located on the second floor at the front of the Inn, in the portion of the house dating to the 1830’s. This expansive two room suite offers entrance from inside the Inn. In the spacious main room, natural light from three windows illuminate a graceful, king sized iron bed. A comfortable wing-back chair allows the perfect spot to read or watch TV.

An adjoining second bedroom offers a full sized, four post pineapple bed. The large bath, wrapped in bead-board, features an antique clawfoot tub with shower. This suite can be combined with the Antietam Room to accommodate a larger group. The Clara Barton Suite is named for the valiant “Angel of the Battlefield” and founder of the American Red Cross.

Harpers Ferry Suite

• 2nd floor • Queen & twin bed • Private porch & entrance • Mini-fridge • Sleeps 2 adults & 1 child/teen

This suite is located on the second floor at the front of the Inn, in the portion of the house dating to around 1804. The comfortable sleeping area has a queen size bed and a twin size pineapple bed. An adjoining sitting room features wing back chairs that are ideal for curling up with a good book, or watching a movie.

The sizable, en-suite bath includes a stand up shower. The suite has both inside and private outside entrances. A large private porch provides scenic views of the gardens. Harpers Ferry Suite is named for the town of Harpers Ferry, WV, a historic community that was not only a strategic location during the Civil War, it also played a significant role in the early years of our country.
